UPDATE: I have not updated subscription on this site due to the cost. I have downloaded the family tree and associated photos which have been uploaded. I continue to have an account with ancestry and will continue to update the tree there. Anyone who wishes to email me with info to update the family please email at pkapor1960@gmail.com. My name is Peta Kapor and I am the Webmaster of this site.This site was created using MyHeritage.com.  I have edited details of our family on Family Tree Builder and uploaded information to this site.  If you have updated information for me,  please click here to contact me and I can edit the details. I would also like any photos or stories about our family to include in my research.  Our family tree is posted online on this site! There are 477 names in our family site.The site was last updated on Apr 6 2024, and it currently has 8 registered member(s).   The 9th October, 2009 was the 178th anniversary of the wedding of William Thompson and Sarah Lowe who are the parents of Sidney William Thompson who travelled to Australia in 1871 and started the Australian branch of the Thompson family tree. The Reunion on Sunday October 5th 2008 was fabulous.  63 people attended - thanks to everyone - it was so great to see you all again. How time flies - it’s almost a year ago.  While we have been in contact electronically, it would be lovely to see you all again soon. My most recent contact was with a relative from South Australia - welcome Ros to our site.  Hopefully, we will be able to track down more information about the South Australian side. We now are friends on Facebook - but haven't had much further contact - must get to that :) WOW - its the 13th April, 2010 - Time has flown so fast since we all met up in 2008.  I haven't been very active on the site or research for a while - I've been so busy and think my next line of research is going to take me interstate - or even overseas. I'll keep on going - so watch this space :) UPDATE:  13 jULY, 2011:  another year has gone by and I havent added any new information.  I will - promise :)  Just need to find the time and good computer that doesnt die on me.  Off to England next year so hope to be able to get some new info then - but I need to do more before then   UPDATE: 25th September, 2011:  Congratulations to cousin Aron Thomson on the birth of his little boy - Jayden - 27th August, 2011.UPDATE: 2nd October, 2012:  I have been researching again and found more information and contacts.  I have updated details of Jane Thompson (Sidney William's Eldest Sister) thanks to Lynda Tomkins from Yorkshire, England and her hard work on her family tree.  We have been in contact through email and I hope to be able to catch up with her in December when I travel to England for Christmas. Update: 25th April, 2017:  Wow - its been 5 years since I have done anything here.   I had let the subscription on MyHeritage lapse due to cost.  but now Im back!  It is stil expensive but I think necessary to keep this site going as there are so many gret photos and information here.  I ;will get the chance now to have a look at how far I am - try to combine informatio here with teh family tree on Ancestry.  Watch this space everyone.Peta
