    The second tool is DeepStory, which makes your family photos speak. With this tool, users can create animated videos of their ancestors telling their life stories, using just a still photo and some text.

    Here is where the magic of writing happens. You no longer have to stare at a blank page. AI Biographer does the work for you.

    Log on to your site, find your ancestor, and click on him/her. A panel on the left opens with an option to create a biography. All you need to do is one click, and the biography is created for you, using all the data from your tree.


    You can choose to create a standard biography or an enhanced one.


    Once the biography is ready you will be notified via the email you used to register to MyHeritage. The biography will be added as a PDF file that you can download to your computer.

    What does your biography include?

    First, you'll see a summary of all your ancestor's personal information.

    Next will appear the biography, which is generated from all the data you entered for your ancestor. This is why it is recommended to extract data from the records and not just save the record to the profile. The more data you have, the richer the biography created.

    The biography will be followed by up to 6 images that were uploaded to your ancestor’s profile, to make it stand out and look colorful.

    Next are the historical events that your ancestors lived through: What was going on in the world during your ancestor’s life, the political atmosphere, economic hardships, and the landscape that surrounded his life and death. This will deepen your understanding of the times and challenges your ancestor lived through.

    If there is any information about the origins of your ancestor’s surname, that will come next:

    Followed by consistency issues that might appear. This will highlight any mismatching information you might have for the specific ancestor.

    The biography concludes with relevant citations. All are clickable, enabling you to check each source, assess and verify the data.

    Once your biography is ready, it’s time for the final tool, bringing all the information together and your ancestor to life: your ancestor telling his story in first person with DeepStory.

    Quick tips: AI Biographer

    • It is recommended to use the AI Biographer from your ancestor’s profile.
    • Pick the enhanced biography. This will result in a much richer biography, where the tool looks into events and the history of the period in time when your ancestors lived. Those historical events will be incorporated, and woven into the biography of your ancestor. Adding depth to understanding the time and the challenges your ancestors had to endure.
    • Make sure you upload all the desired photos before creating the biography.
    • The photo that will appear on the biography will be the one you used for the profile photo. If you would like a different one to appear on the biography page, make sure you change that before making the biography.

    DeepStory

    DeepStory is where it all comes together. Log on to your site, go to Photos, and in the dropdown menu choose DeepStory.

    To create a tailor-made video, scroll to the bottom of the page to upload the photo of your ancestor. Follow the simple instructions and fill in the required details.

    Choose the voice that suits best the ancestor you have chosen:

    Use the biography created by the AI biographer, and change the third person narration of the biography into first person. The biography is your ready-made text and story to use in the various chapters. You can pick and choose the information from the biography to suit the specific topic of your video.

    Once you are done, click create and watch the magic happen: your ancestor, animated by the AI tools used by MyHeritage, telling a heartfelt story of his life.
